A review on comparative analysis of HPTLC and RP-HPLC techniques for the method development of polmacoxib: Insights and innovations

Author(s): Jisha U and KT Akshara

Abstract: This article compares two Polmacoxib analytical methods: high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) and reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP- HPLC). It evaluates the effectiveness of HPTLC for bulk pharmaceutical forms, concentrating on validity, accuracy, and precision. In contrast, the evaluation assesses RP-HPLC for capsule dosage forms, looking at its development, sensitivity, and robustness. The evaluation summarizes the merits and drawbacks of each approach, taking into account sensitivity, precision, convenience of use, and application to various pharmacological forms. It also examines the practical consequences for quality control and regulatory compliance, which can help with the choice of a suitable analytical technique.
